Travel to my Camino startpoint 06-07/10/2023

Took myself in my car to Lannion train station in the middle of the afternoon. Left the car in the car park and went by train to Rennes - changed trains in Guingamp. Shortly before  9 pm   took a coach  destined for Bilbao and changed coach in Bordeaux   at 2:30 am . This was a coach which came from Paris to O Porto. It set me down in A Coruña half an hour ago. And I am now sitting in a local bus going to Ferrol where I will start walking tomorrow. Uneventful trip except that I tend to worry a lot when I do not have a lot of time between buses and the bus I am in runs late. However all has been going very well.  Once arrived in Spain this has been quite a memory trip. On my first camino 13 years ago when I walked all the way from home to the Cap de Finisterre via Santiago I followed the Camino del Norte which largely follows the coast and is intertwined with the route nacional and the autovia. Preparation

 Hola! I am preparing a new camino, the Inglès, 110 km starting from Ferrol on the north coast of Galicia. The reason for this walk is to try and find out why I had a problem with my left knee and with my left big toe when I walked with my daughter Andrea from Córdoba to Mérida in May. It is also a way to find out whether I can still do a camino alone, completely, not only the planning, but also the walking, the checking in to albergues/hostels/hotels, finding places to eat in the evening, etc, etc. In 2017 I walked the Camino de Torres from Salamanca - two weeks alone before I was joined by Andrea in Lamego.  Since then every year I have always walked my whole camino with at least one of my children. Although I always did the planning they are much better at  finding nice restaurants, organising taxis, etc. – especially Andrea who is very efficient, very fast, doing it all on her phone and I comfortably let her.
